Partially. WhatsApp text messaging, photo sharing, and voice messages work normally in the UAE. However, WhatsApp voice and video calls are blocked on all UAE networks — including du, e& (Etisalat), hotel Wi-Fi, and airport Wi-Fi. This is a country-level regulation enforced by the UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), not a limitation of our eSIM specifically.
No. FaceTime, Facebook Messenger calls, and most other VoIP voice and video calling apps are blocked under UAE regulations. This applies to all travelers regardless of which network or eSIM they use.
